“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9, KJV)
Good work often requires more time than we expected. We may sow faithfully without seeing immediate results, and delay can tempt us to quit or question whether our effort matters. Scripture does not promise that every project will succeed exactly as planned; it calls us to continue in what is good, trusting God while remaining open to learning and adjustment.
Perseverance is not stubbornly repeating an ineffective method. It is staying faithful to the right purpose while being willing to improve the approach. Review your progress honestly. Ask for feedback, rest when needed, and make the next wise adjustment. Some fruit appears slowly: a child learns through repeated care, a skill grows through practice, trust returns through consistent honesty, and ministry deepens through unseen service. Keep sowing what is good. Your responsibility is faithfulness; the timing and measure of the harvest are not always yours to control.
Review a good work that feels slow. Ask whether the goal remains right, whether the method needs adjustment, and whether you need rest or help. Make one improvement, then continue steadily. Perseverance is not denial of difficulty; it is faithful effort joined to teachability. Remember that growth often happens through repeated, unseen choices. Keep doing what is good while entrusting outcomes and timing to God.
Perseverance includes knowing when to seek help and when a method needs to change. If progress is slow, review the process rather than judging your entire future by the latest result. Ask a trusted person for an honest perspective, set a realistic next goal, and keep showing up. Rest can protect perseverance from becoming burnout, while accountability can keep it from becoming an excuse. Continue in what is good, and leave room for God to work in ways and timings you cannot fully predict.
