“The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel 11:32, KJV)
When Ada’s small catering business lost its biggest client, she sat in her kitchen staring at unpaid invoices and ingredients she could no longer afford to waste.
For one evening, fear convinced her that years of work had come to nothing. The next morning, she wrote down what she knew: she could cook well, past customers trusted her, and she had learned to manage difficult seasons before.
She prayed, called three former customers, offered a carefully costed lunch package, and asked a more experienced caterer to review her pricing. The first order was modest, but it restored movement. Ada discovered that faith did not make the problem disappear; it helped her face the problem without surrendering her judgment.
Knowing God is more than collecting information about Him. It is trusting His character enough to obey His Word when circumstances are loud. Faith is not denial, and spiritual strength is not pretending to feel no fear. Strength grows as fellowship with God shapes your decisions, habits, courage, and response to pressure.
Notice what Ada did: she prayed, assessed
the facts, sought counsel, and acted. Trust and responsibility worked together.
The God who strengthens you also calls you to use wisdom, develop your gifts,
and take the next faithful step. Do not measure your future by one frightening
report. Bring the facts before God, learn what they can teach you, and act from
the truth rather than panic. Exploits are not merely public achievements; they
include courageous obedience, restored relationships, honest work, and service
that reflects God's goodness.
SCRIPTURE FOR MEDITATION
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth
me.” (Philippians 4:13, KJV)
PRAYER
Father, I receive and put to work the strength You supply
through Christ. Train my heart to know You deeply, my mind to judge situations
clearly, and my hands to act diligently. I reject panic and passivity. Show me
the next wise step, and help me take it with courage and integrity. In Jesus’
name, amen.
CONFESSION
I know my God, and His truth steadies me. I am strengthened
in Christ to think clearly, work diligently, learn quickly, and serve
faithfully. Difficult circumstances do not cancel my purpose; by God’s help, I
respond with faith and wise action.
