“Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” (Ephesians 6:10, KJV)
Strength in the gospel begins with what Christ has accomplished, not with the illusion that we must manufacture power from our own will. A believer may feel tired, uncertain, or stretched by responsibility; those feelings do not cancel the life of God within. The instruction to be strong “in the Lord” directs our confidence away from fluctuating emotions and toward the risen Christ. His victory is the foundation from which we stand, serve, resist temptation, and keep moving.
Spiritual confidence is not passivity or pretending that difficulty is small. We draw on God’s truth, use the wisdom He provides, and obey with courage. The power of Christ forms perseverance, self-control, love, and boldness in ordinary decisions. Today, refuse to let pressure define your capacity. Let the Lord’s strength shape how you speak, plan, work, and respond. You are not abandoned to your own resources; in Christ, you can meet this day with faith and disciplined action.
Consider where you have been relying only on your own energy. Name the responsibility in front of you, identify the help or information you need, and take one faithful step. Strength in Christ is expressed through action: asking for counsel, keeping your word, practising a skill, or beginning again after disappointment. Do not wait until you feel invincible. Depend on Jesus, act with integrity, and let your response show that His power is at work in ordinary life.
Let this truth govern how you approach the rest of the day. When a challenge seems bigger than your ability, remember that Christ’s strength is not a call to boast; it is an invitation to depend on Him and act faithfully. Prepare carefully, ask for help when it is wise, and keep your conduct honourable. You may not control every result, but you can choose a response shaped by faith. The strength of the Lord is seen in steadfast obedience as much as in visible achievement.
